New Column Debuts on Bleeding Cool

Today the first installment of my new ongoing column debuted at Bleeding Cool. Rich has been very kind to our publication over the past year, running stories on Gail Simone’s involvement as well as mentioning our Kickstarter initiative, which achieved success thanks to the support of Bleeding Cool readers.

The column will serve as a bit of a history lesson on how The Gathering came together and reached the point we’re at now with some (what I hope are) fun behind the scenes moments on everything from how we picked a name to coming up with the various themes. I also hope that the story of this book’s creation can inspire others. Perhaps they’ve been wanting to tell their own stories and just needed to see how someone else did it. Maybe some of the things we discuss will be helpful to others as they struggle with trying to self publish? All I know is that I’m very excited about the opportunity and think it’s going to be a lot of fun.

For those of you who are coming to visit from Bleeding Cool for the first time, welcome. On this site you should find everything you need to learn about GrayHaven Comics and our ongoing anthology, The Gathering. In a nutshell, each issue of The Gathering focuses on a different theme. The first issue was ‘Hope’. The second issue is ‘Despair’ and the forthcoming double sized third issue is ‘Heroes’. There’s currently a poll running through April in which you, the fan can choose the theme for issue seven. Take a look around and check out some of the story pages on past and future volumes.

Also please click on the link to the right and join our Facebook group as well as our Twitter. Together with this site, you’ll find all the up to the minute information on all things related to GHC and The Gathering.

Thanks for joining us.
